Waldoboro Business Association meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month (except October and December) at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Mill Street. We welcome all business owners/managers and citizens in the Waldoboro area who support of the local business community.

The Waldoboro Select Board meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays monthly 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building

Maine historian Randall Gross conducts Genealogy Workshops on the Second Monday of every month (except holidays), from 5:30 to 7:00 at the Waldoboro Library. Come learn how to research your own family, aspects of town history, or Maine's involvement in wider historical events such as the Civil War. The next date is: August 11.

The German Church, dating to the early 18th Century. German language service held annually on the first Sunday in August, followed by refreshments. Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 3, 2008.

Music for a Mid-August Eve, Kevin Birch will be playing the newly refurbished 1875 Hook & Hastings Organ at the Broad Bay Congregational United Church of Christ Friday August 15 at 7 pm.

The third annual Waldoboro Paint the Town Art Extravaganza is coming up on Saturday, August 16. FMI contact Tidemark Gallery 207 832-5109.

The second annual Medomak River Festival will be held on Saturday, August 30. Great food, local artisans, food producers, community organizations, kids’ activities and music by STEELIN’ THUNDER and THE TOUGHCATS.
