July Business After Hours at The First National Bank

The First National Bank is celebrating 50 years in Waldoboro!

You know they host great parties! Come celebrate with our business neighbors and congratulate The First!

Join us on Monday, July 28th from 5:30 - 7pm for live music, lite bites, sweet treats and door prizes. Overflow parking available on the bank-side of the CN Brown Energy parking lot.

A student from MVHS will be performing live music for us.

Remember to bring something for the collection table for the Waldoboro Food Pantry.

June Business After Hours at Pooley Realty Group

June's Business After Hours is going to be a real fun BBQ party hosted by Pooley Realty Group and Compass Insurance with 3 additional co-sponsors; Letteney Financial Advisory, J&J Jamaican and Waldoboro Quarry.

Under the tent in the back yard, Tony Gallace is setting up a huge grill with burgers & hot dogs. We'll have rice & beans from J&J Jamaican, side salads from Pooley Realty, chips, beverages from Compass Insurance and music from Letteney Financial (Jim will be DJ'ing). Some fun yard games and door prizes along the way (see one prize below). With so many businesses involved, this is going to be lots of fun!

What a great way to celebrate the start to the summer season!

WBA 2024 Annual Member Meeting

Come have a great time at our 2nd party of the year!

Hey there! We're thrilled to invite you to our Annual Member Meeting / Business After Hours on February 26th from 5:30 - 7pm at Sammi's Family Entertainment Center at 402 Friendship Rd, Waldoboro ME. This year's meeting is going to be an absolute blast! We'll be showcasing our brand new website with a demo, treating you to free bowling, and Sammi's will be serving up their delicious menu items for purchase.

But that's not all! We're also hosting the "Have-a Heart" Annual Drive for the Waldoboro Food Pantry, so please bring a personal care item to donate.

Let's show our community some love!

About Sammi's Family Entertainment Center

An eight-year employee of ALLPLaY Family Entertainment is the new owner of the candlepin bowling alley in Waldoboro, now Sammi’s Family Entertainment Center.

Sammi Spear, who grew up in Nobleboro and graduated from Lincoln Academy in 2010, signed papers to take over the business Dec. 31, 2019.

Our January Business After Hours will be a bit different. Three of our WBA members will host the event together. This should add to the fun!

The Waldoboro Inn / Ida's Wine Bar

The Italianate style, most prevalent in America between the 1850s and the 1880s, was inspired by rambling, informal Italian farmhouses and Italian-style villa architecture. Italianate buildings were more playful and decorative than the earlier Greek Revival buildings with details placed within every inch of its interior. We are honored to be able to restore, maintain, and share with you the inn’s remarkable beauty. 

The Pooley Real Estate Group

With over 32 years of combined experience now, the team opened this office in 2021 as a branch of the William Raveis Real Estate Company, happily serving as a real estate resource center for buyers, sellers and information seekers for Waldoboro and surrounding areas. Jessica Pooley is the managing broker, along with Associate Brokers Tracie Pooley, Tabitha Benner, Tiffany Look and Sales Agent Tristan Look. Debby Pooley, a 35-year veteran of Moody's Diner, also can be seen frequently at the office, providing administrative support. The team is committed to serving on a variety of community projects as well, including the Waldoborough Historical Society, Waldoboro Lion's Club, and proud members of the Waldoboro Business Association, where Jessica serves the Board as Secretary.

Compass Insurance has served Waldoboro for 15 years and offers a wide range of home and auto insurance options as well as small commercial and specialize in Marine related insurance risks. Lobster boats, commercial hull diving operations, marine artisan etc. I try to go above and beyond to offer responsive service and high quality insurance products. I love to give back to our community, local nonprofits, youth baseball and softball related organizations. I currently serve on the WBA Board as Treasurer and am excited about the WBA being active again!
